They would like to give me a one-year contract, but since I'm getting a fourth (?), I think this would be a permanent contract. I disagree that a change qualifies as a contract extension, which doesn't apply to me either. However, my LG keeps referring back to this. The regional manager and supervisors decided this in March 2013. According to the institution's in-house lawyer, there was case law in which this was discussed, and to prevent this, they hedged their bets and made this decision. However, is this legally possible? Can a regional manager make this decision without other districts following suit? I've taken all the advice from you, fellow lawyers. Unfortunately, this is not being listened to and is being brushed aside. I'd like to do more to change their minds, but I don't know how. Are there people who support this and have more of a voice? They clearly don't want to take any risks and therefore aren't offering you a contract. They're also not obligated to offer you a new contract, even if it were a third one. You can't force this.\n\u003ch4\u003e Questioner\u003c\/h4\u003e\n\n\n\n In addition to my colleague, perhaps you could arrange to be reinstated as a temporary employee after a period of at least 3 months and 1 day.
