Do I need a residence permit or something?\n\n\u003ch4\u003e Lawyer\u003c\/h4\u003e\n\n It is a 'grey' area and whether it is allowed or not depends on what is stated in the General Local Regulations (APV) on this matter.\n\n I live in the municipality of Breda and the General By-law states:\n \nArticle 4:2 Definitions\n\n In this section, camping equipment means: a shelter or vehicle for which no environmental permit for construction within the meaning of Article 2.1, first paragraph under a of the General Provisions of Environmental Law Act is required, which is intended or constructed or is used or can be used for recreational overnight accommodation.\n\n Article 4:3 Overnight stay outside the campsite\n\n 1. It is prohibited to place or keep camping equipment for the purpose of overnight accommodation outside a camping site that is designated or co-designated as such in the zoning plan, management regulation, development plan or a preparatory decision.\n\n 2. The prohibition does not apply to the placing of camping equipment for personal use by the owner on a site that is not a public space.\n \nSo if I read this a bit creatively: if the owner of the land where your caravan would be, says that it is his caravan, the municipality can do little I think.
