My question now is: will the bailiffs come to my door and do I run the risk that they will seize my property?\n\n If my assets cannot be seized, where in the law can I find out what my rights are?\n\n\u003ch4\u003e Lawyer\u003c\/h4\u003e\n\n A bailiff can only seize the debtor's (your son's) belongings. If your son only has a postal address with you, a bailiff may not assume that the belongings in your home belong to your son.\n\n I do wonder what kind of benefit your son had and why it was terminated.
