Tenancy law: Who pays for double glazing?
Questioner
Good day, If the double glazing in a rental property is leaking due to old age (i.e. not broken or cracked), the costs are for the tenant or the landlord. The housing association has previously paid for the windows, but they now claim that this was a mistake by the supervisor and that the tenants must pay for the windows. Can you help me.Lawyer
They are not allowed to do this. The landlord must take care of the new windows and then send the inspector the bill and not pass it on to the tenant. You may contact me directly if you wish.Neem de volgende stap
