Legal Advice on Contract Disputes

Questioner

I was asked to work extra and sacrificed my vacation with the promise that I would get a permanent contract. This was promised to me in an email by a third person. She let me know in the email that my manager would offer me a permanent contract. That is what she supposedly said to this third person. Now my manager says that this is not the case and my contract will not be extended. Am I still entitled to this because she did say it to this 3rd person?

If this 3rd party was authorized to make this announcement to you, then you have a strong point. It is also important to know what kind of contract you have and whether it has been extended several times. You may contact me directly if you wish.
