Questioner

A few months ago I took out a trial subscription to Usenet. That same day I cancelled via their contact form. I have a print screen of this which strangely enough is saved as a powerpoint. I only saw that later. I did not receive a confirmation email, also did not pay attention because I assumed that everything was arranged properly. Some time ago I received a message from Paypal that more than 80 euros had been paid to Usenet because I had taken out a subscription. I submitted my problem to Paypal and they agreed with me and refunded the amount. After several email contacts with Usenet in which I sent the print screen each time and a print screen of the storage data etc. I was told each time that a self-made Word document is not valid, that I most likely emailed to a 'do not reply' email address (I do not have one, everything via the contact form). I even said that I would pay under protest and would investigate it further with the head office, but that I no longer had any information. I then emailed the email address they provided for the information and never received a response. Now I receive an email from a debt collection agency in Germany stating that I have to pay 150 euros and that Usenet has given them permission to take further measures. What should I do now?

By refunding the €80, the fact that your 'complaint' has been accepted. You are also entitled to a cooling-off period, since you cancelled the same day. You may contact me directly in a private message if you wish.

Do nothing at all and wait to see if usenet goes to court. I expect not.
