Questioner

Since August 1st I have a temporary fulltime job of 38 hours per week. During the application I had an open conversation with the Regional Manager and his right hand that I will be going on vacation from the beginning of September and that this salary is ideal for me for my vacation. Last Tuesday the Regional Manager finally entered my details after weeks of calling, emailing, and leaving voicemails. The head office was finally able to get hold of him. Because he filled it in so late, I will not be paid until the end of September. My manager, HR and I are trying to contact him about this, but he is not responding to our emails and calls. So my question is, what can I do to ensure that I can still receive my salary at the end of August? He himself promised that it would not be a problem and that I would be paid normally on the 24th of the month. Is there anything I can do about this? I have been calling head office back and forth for 2 weeks and they say there is nothing they can do.

You can have a change made to your employment contract, regarding salary payment. That the manager was negligent is not up to you. What is up to you, is that you can prove that these promises were made. Then you have a position. If you wish, you may contact me directly.
