Legal Advice on Personal Data Reclaim

Questioner

The ex-partner took the folders of my husband's financial administration from the joint accountant to complete the bookkeeping for the BV. But this folder also contained my papers for my tax return for 2015. This concerns an annual statement from my employer, a bank statement for 2015 and mortgage details. To date, they have not returned the folders. As a result, the accountant was unable to file a return, which almost resulted in me receiving a fine. Apart from this, I find it downright scandalous that my personal details are now in their possession. Can I take legal action or is this permitted?

No, this is not allowed. It could have been a mistake, but it should be corrected. You can reclaim your documents.
