Legal Assistance with WOK Status Car

Questioner

We bought a car on 19-02-2014 When purchasing, we clearly asked whether it had suffered any damage because it was a German car that was imported in 2013 (the car is from 2011). We were told that he had minor parking damage, but we were satisfied with that, as so many cars have. Now, more than 2 years later, we want to trade in the car for another one at a dealer and we were told that the car has a WOK status We were shocked and felt cheated, the dealer did not want to trade in our car, we went to another dealer who wanted to trade in the car, but it was a dumping price far below the current value of what we would get for it, so we are actually stuck with a car that we cannot get rid of normally, we went back to the garage where we bought the car, he keeps insisting that the dealers should not take a work status so seriously!! But a car does not just get a work status Do we have any rights against the garage where we bought the car or what can we do about it?

I wonder if what the dealer tells you about the wok status is not a story to get you to trade in the car for far less than the price? With that status, problems arise with inspection, insurance and transfer of registration at the RDW.
