Legal Assistance with Rental Problems
Questioner
The closed ventilation grille that I rent no longer works optimally and this cannot be remedied because the part (a membrane) is no longer available. I am a tenant of this house and from day one there was a hostage in the building that I had to rent. The landlord of the boiler now wants to install a new boiler which is much more expensive per month and also charge me for the installation costs which can add up considerably because they can no longer use the old - well-functioning - supply and discharge pipes. I never paid for the installation of a sewer in this house, nor for the drainage system. Is the housing association that rents out this house liable for this or the landlord? Or me?Lawyer
A new gijzer is an enrichment for the housing association and may not be paid to the tenant. The fact that you are a tenant of the gijzer does not mean that when it breaks you have to provide a new one. For this it is advisable to read what is stated in the rental agreement and the general terms and conditions. You can send these to me by private message so that I can check them for you.Lawyer
It is indeed advisable to study the rental agreement and general terms and conditions. The fact that you state that you are a tenant of the device makes me suspect that an attempt was made to shift some of the blame onto you in the agreement...Neem de volgende stap
