Legal questions about working abroad

Questioner

We have been living in Moscow for a year now, probably for the next 3 years. Sent out for a multinational, my partner. I myself have been asked to perform consultancy work for a state hospital. Considering the quality of care, it is very necessary: I only want compensation for the expenses. Three options (as far as I know now): - getting a work permit: almost impossible & if possible in a year, then with a limited entry and exit visa - working illegally: catching someone is the first plane home, not an option given the family - as a self-employed person from the Netherlands This last one seems the best option, but given the fact that I have been officially deregistered, registration with the Chamber of Commerce is not possible. At least this is what I understand. In short, I can't help the quality of care here, partly because of all the bureaucracy? So I'm hard at work looking for tips on how I can realize this in a sensible way... (and again: I don't want to make a profit, but I do want to help care without taking any personal risks).

In the Netherlands, a volunteer may be rewarded for his/her work. Up to a certain point and under conditions. Maybe that is an option? But then you must contact a specialist in your area. Self-employed from the Netherlands is possible if you have a branch and also perform work in the Netherlands. Otherwise, you will really have to register in the Netherlands again. But that is not possible without further ado.
