Claim compensation after purchasing a puppy | Rechtswinkel.nl

Two weeks ago I bought a Labrador puppy, when I got home she had diarrhea, I consulted the vet who said it could be due to the change of food. One day later the diarrhea was watery, I informed the breeder immediately. Three days later the animal was seriously ill, I rushed it to the vet. He was admitted that day and it turned out that the puppy had giardia. The breeder was informed about this but has not responded at all. I have lost a lot of euros in a week, and I did expect the breeder to provide financial compensation. Given the incubation period, the giardia was already in the puppy when I bought it. What can I do about this? The breeder is no longer responding, what is my next step?Lawyer
There is a non-conforming purchase now that the puppy (thing) was afflicted with a burden or limitation (underlying disease) that should not have been there. You may claim damages or apply a price reduction. The seller must prove that the puppy was not ill at the time of sale, not you. If you would like some help in establishing liability and summing up the damages in connection with this, you can contact me. Your case lends itself to a legal e-mail, lite risk.Neem de volgende stap
