Rights with a zero-hour contract | Legal Advice

Questioner

I would like to know if a boss can take away 1 day from you without reason and hire a new employee for that. I have been working since May 2011 with a 0-hour contract, so now for more than 4.5 years, which is in principle a permanent contract in my opinion, so it seems to me that he is not allowed to do that. He himself gives the reason that he runs too much risk with illnesses and problems with holidays, while my colleagues and I always solve this ourselves when something like this is the case and where we always come to a good agreement and always had to arrange this ourselves from him!! Could you please give me an answer or advice on this as soon as possible? I would like to hear from you.

Your employer may hire you for fewer hours. Because you have been working for 4.5 years and to prevent your employer from doing so again, I advise you to have the hours you work recorded in your contract. This is possible with the legal presumption of employment contract. Press the button for a note for your boss.
