Legal assistance when placed under guardianship

Questioner

My uncle himself has requested a guardianship for himself. Now he has Korsakoff and we [the family] have the very strong suspicion that his daughter is behind it. She has been out of his life for a very long time, and suddenly she was there again, when we had indicated to her a few months ago that her father was deteriorating rapidly. Suddenly we were told by my uncle that he received pocket money from her, namely 100 euros per week. Sometimes he himself does not know why this happens (because of the Korsakoff!!]) She manipulated him into going along with everything she said, and arranged all sorts of things without our knowledge. We weren't even notified. He rants about her to us, but when she stands at his door he is like putty in her hands. He himself does not know what he has agreed to, and complains that he only has 100 euros a week. Also his pension and AOW disappear immediately when it is deposited into her account [after deduction of his fixed costs] We don't know what to do to stop her from plundering his account. When we call her she laughs at us and hangs up the phone. When we text her she doesn't get in touch. We think it's fine that she takes care of her father but this is not done in the right way! Do you know what steps we can take?

You can file an objection with the court and possibly request the dismissal of the administrator, provided that there are matters that are not being carried out properly. If the person under administration can still clearly indicate and understand that he does not agree with the state of affairs, then a second administrator can also be appointed.
