Legal assistance with driving license and alcohol lock
Questioner
I have asked this question before but have not received an answer. it's about ending the alcohol lock my question is now can i get my driver's license back then i have to fill out a self declaration and contact a psychiatrist. costs around 350 euros. I am required to undergo a blood and urine test but that is not a problem. Ultimately, they ask for permission for information from the treating physician. what do they mean by treating physician? is that my family doctor or a specialist? it is said that the information is necessary to complete a full report Am I obliged to provide the information? I think it's a kind of privicie If I refuse to provide information to my doctor, does that mean they simply won't give me the right to get my driver's license back???Lawyer
Dear questioner, This investigation is rather annoying, because yes, your privacy is violated, but if you do not cooperate (fully), the chance of a negative report and therefore invalidation of your driving license is greater. I can well imagine that you do not feel like giving full permission to consult your doctor(s). Your family doctor is probably meant, but you can ask the CBR how far the permission should go and then make a decision. Then you at least know where you stand. You can then make a decision. Good luck with that.Lawyer
