Freelancer Rights: Your Questions Answered

Questioner

I have a question about what rights you have as a freelancer in the labor market. Can a company end the collaboration without reason if you have worked for this company as a freelancer for at least a year? Two weeks ago, this company was asked if it was possible to work with a 0-hour contract and this was agreed to. At the time, they told what an asset the person was for the company, but two weeks later they told them that the company wanted to end the collaboration. Do you have a leg to stand on as a freelancer, legally speaking?

Lawyer

There is currently a written employment contract for 0 hours. For the work that is done in freelance I can state that the latter form does not legally exist. One has an employment contract and meets its requirements (including paid work, personal work, position of authority of the employer,) or there is a fixed-term or specific assignment contract and one-off or with a DBA model agreement.
