Legal Advice for Care Leave and Parental Leave

My boyfriend works in shipping week in week off. He works from Wednesday to Wednesday and then he is home for a week. I have a 1.5 year old son and recently had surgery, my boyfriend had to take a few days off to take care of me, so-called care leave, but my boyfriend doesn't get this, he stayed home for 2 days because his employer didn't allow it any longer and now money is being deducted from his salary! Surely this falls under care leave?? The same thing that happened to me 1.5 years ago, my boyfriend was only allowed to stay home 1 day longer by his boss. I gave birth on Sunday and had to stay in the hospital until Wednesday and on Thursday my boyfriend had to go back to work. He also has no vacation days according to his employer. If he wants vacation, he has to work overtime. Something is wrong here or is it just me? Hope to get an answer from someone what we should do with this. Your friend is entitled to three days of parental leave. By law, he is entitled to four times the agreed working hours per week. I recommend checking the contract before starting a new job.Neem de volgende stap
