Legal assistance with address confidentiality

Questioner

Hi, My question is whether I can give my children and myself an unregistered address without removing my ex from parental authority. In 2014 my ex tried to murder me, for which he was also sentenced to 5 years in prison and TBS. In order not to give him any more reason to do something to me when he is released, I did not take away his parental rights and 2 of my 4 children visit their father once every 3 months under the supervision of youth care. Now I am moving and I want an anonymous address, which is possible, but as long as my children are minors (they are now 13 and 15), he would have the right to know where they live. Is there no way to forbid him from knowing my or their address, I mean it is of no use to him, he is still stuck until my children are of age so it is not necessary for visitation rights and also the mail goes through one of my adult children. For my own safety I don't want him to know where I live but I also don't want to take away his parental rights.. I mean then I might as well do something to myself right now. greetings

Lawyer

You can ask your new municipality to keep your address details confidential. If these details are then requested by a lawyer who he may hire later, your details will not simply be provided. You will first be given the opportunity by the municipality to explain your objections to this. Given what you have described, I expect that the municipality will decide not to provide these details to the lawyer. Please note that a bailiff can, I believe, obtain your details without further ado and that you will also have to clearly indicate to Youth Care and possibly other agencies that your address must remain completely confidential for the father of your children.
