It completely met my expectations so I decided to ask for the maintenance booklet. It said that the car had been serviced a month ago. The friendly guy told me that it had been serviced and there were no special issues. So I decided to buy the car without a service and delivery costs. When we went to pick up the car and drove home, the lights on the dashboard started to come on. Coincidentally, it was close to the garage where the car had been a month ago. When we got there, it turned out that the ad blue fluid had to be topped up and we wondered why it had not been topped up since it had just been serviced. We were told that the car had not been serviced at all but that advice had been given to the leasing company about what had to be done to the car. Have I not been led astray here, has fraud been committed and have they lied to me. They now also partially acknowledge this and want to meet me halfway with a 25% discount on the service and the parts. I think this is far too little and I am of the opinion that they should pay for the service in full. What is reasonable here? If it is stated that the car has had a service, then you may assume that. The seller cannot take the position that this is not the case and consequently brush off defects that have arisen as a result of the service. The seller must therefore fully accept the service and remedy the defect that has arisen.
