Now, 7 years later, the campsite manager wants us to remove these trees (or have them removed) because they are too high and no longer fit in with the look and feel of the campsite. We have had a number of quotes made and the removal will cost us hundreds of euros. This is not an option for us, since we already pay €3200 per year in parking fees and we make very little use of our caravan. However, removing them ourselves is very risky because the trees are about 20\/25 metres high and we are surrounded by other chalets, sheds and caravans. Imagine that such a tree falls in an unfortunate place, who is liable for that? And I wonder whether we are liable for removing these trees at all. We are only renting this place, the campsite owner is the owner of the terrain. Moreover, the trees were already there when we rented this place from him. Any damage that may result from this is also his responsibility. This is only different if it has been contractually agreed that you are responsible for the removal.
