I left the jointly owned home. From 2006 - 2012 I paid the mortgage payments from my salary. After the divorce in 2012, the judge determined that I would have to continue paying the mortgage payments plus child support.\n Due to circumstances I became unemployed in 2013 and could no longer pay the imposed charges. The judge then ruled that I no longer had to pay the alimony and the mortgage. Since my ex-wife also stopped paying, the mortgage provider wanted to auction the house. However, from May 2012 my ex-wife had a new partner who moved in with her. He bought the house in 2013 for a ridiculously low price, but it was slightly higher than the amount if the house were auctioned.  \nThere was a residual debt of €81,205.31 and subsequently €22,052.95 was repaid, meaning that the claim now amounts to €59,152.36.\n However, my ex-wife still lives there and therefore has the 'usufruct' of the house in my opinion. I do not have that and would therefore like to get rid of that debt. It would mean that I would never be able to start something new or buy a new house. And that while I do not use the house. I also left 99% of the contents behind after my departure.
