We chose this specific company based on a comparison with other companies, their website, the face-to-face and phone contact, and the final quote.\r \nDuring the quotation phase, they quoted incorrectly for several issues, which they repaired (up to three times). One business day before the glass was to be installed, we received a call informing us that they couldn't install all the glass because it wasn't \"ready\" yet. They would install the remaining glass the following business day. Once they got started, it turned out they weren't working according to the NEN standards and guidelines (also included in the quotation) that apply to the glass industry. We confronted them about this and reminded them of this several times during the work. On the second day, a repeat of the first day took place, and mid-afternoon we requested that work be stopped. We indicated that we first wanted to make clearer agreements about how everything should be carried out. We sent an email to the company owner about the process and our preferred approach. We then received an email stating that they couldn't install the remaining glazing until the end of September. \r \nTo top it all off, we discovered the next day that some of the windows that had been installed did not match the quote.\n In short. We thought we'd hired a specialist to replace all the glazing last week. However, we're now left with: partially replaced glazing that wasn't installed correctly and glazing that's not working properly. Furthermore, in preparation for the new glazing, we had already partially dismantled the current glazing system (in consultation with the glass specialist). So now we're left with a burglar-prone house that's also no longer wind and rainproof. The dismantling is irreversible.\n\n We have little confidence in a positive outcome, especially now that the on-site contractor has indicated that he cannot seal the glass according to the NEN standard.\n\n What are we supposed to do now? We really have no idea. We've completely lost faith in a proper installation. However, the glass needs to be installed soon. \r \nWe thought they would install the glass under our supervision (crazy!), so we'd constantly monitor the work and have another company handle the caulking. We'd then find a different caulker ourselves, and the specialist would have to deduct the caulking fee from our invoice.
