Employer refuses to pay out vacation days.

On Monday 30 May I resigned from my old employer. One week later I received a call that my endometriosis surgery was planned. Initially, the expectation was that this surgery would take place in mid-September, but the surgery could suddenly take place on 21 July. That fell within my two-month working period, but given the daily pain complaints I was very happy that I could be helped so quickly. So I accepted this planning. My employer did not allow me to take all my vacation days, because the operation also fell within the working period. However, they now refuse to pay out my remaining vacation days afterwards. The reason they give for this is that they accuse me of having deliberately planned the operation in this way. I myself had absolutely no influence on the planning of the operation. I did repeatedly indicate to the hospital how serious the complaints were, actually I would also be artificially put into menopause (I am 33 years old and have an unfulfilled desire to have children, my employer was aware of this and also of this artificial menopause treatment) and because the operation could now be planned so quickly, that was fortunately prevented. But again, the fact that the operation could take place so early is not something I had any influence on. I do have legal expenses insurance, but not for 'labour and income'. What an annoying situation. First of all the operation, but then also the reaction of the employer. What the employer says is not correct. Apart from the doubts that the employer has about the operation, rightly or wrongly, payment of leave days may not be withheld.
