Company default notice?
Questioner
After we had our entire house fitted with plastic window frames and doors in May, a number of damages were found. Since then we have been trying to get these repaired. Appointments are made that are not kept without any notice, or they are constantly being postponed and when someone finally comes, the right materials are missing, or supposedly 1 damage is repaired but the end result is even uglier than the original damage. In the meantime, an email has been sent to the management several times, but the result is the same: you don't hear anything at all and they don't call back either. Now I've heard that you can put such a company in default, but what if they don't respond to that either? What are my rights then?Lawyer
It is certainly advisable to inform the contractor of the damage. If they have been put in default and still do not comply, going to court could provide a solution. Compensation can then be claimed, because costs are incurred to have the repair work carried out (correctly) by a third party. If you want to discuss, please call (tel: 06-49175526).
