That son gets the maximum, for my ex there is a few hundred euros left because of my limited means, which is less than her needs. When my son turns 21, my obligation to pay him ends. My question is: if I no longer have to pay for my son, can my ex ask the court for more alimony for himself?

When your son is 21 years old and is no longer dependent on his parents, the obligation to pay child support ends. However, this does not necessarily mean that the spousal support changes.
