Carport area permit?
Questioner
I have requested a preliminary investigation (municipality of Barneveld) for the construction of a carport. This will be next to the house (corner house). There is a garage next to the house, and I want to build a carport against it. That is adjacent to a publicly accessible area. The urban planner does not want to cooperate with this. I have sent photos with address of a comparable situation. Carport that borders on a publicly accessible area. The answer was, I do not know this and I will not make any statements about this. I have therefore argued that equal monks, equal hoods. What else can I do now? I live in a villageLawyer
Dear, If the urban planner of the municipality of Barneveld is not willing to cooperate in building the carport next to your house, despite showing comparable situations, there are some steps you can consider: 1. Ask for specific reasons: Ask the urban planner for specific reasons why he/she does not want to cooperate with your request. This can help you understand why they are rejecting it and may provide starting points for further action, such as drafting an objection. 2. Consult the zoning code: Check your town’s zoning code and see if there are any specific rules regarding building carports next to corner houses or adjacent to public access areas. If your project fits within the zoning code rules, you can highlight this and re-present your case.
