Liability for a car with hidden defects

I bought a car with hidden defects. Can I hold the garage liable for this? I bought the car with, as the seller himself stated (damage and the reverse gear of the gearbox popping out), but I've now discovered that there are more issues, such as a blown head gasket, incorrect coolant, insufficient oil in the engine block, dirt on the oil cap, and a low oil level.
