Legal Advice on Job Changes

My employer wants to change the sales support position to sales support assistant. Would that make the position an assistant's assistant?! That I'm my own assistant? Next May, the salary scales for the positions will be reclassified. This is probably the reason. We (three women) don't agree to this. Are we within our rights? The duties will remain the same. I hope you can advise us. Thanks in advance.
