Hello, on April 18, 2013, I was parked in a parking lot where people can briefly park to pick up or drop off people. This is in front of Sloterdijk station in Amsterdam. At one point, a coach bus pulled up to my left and tried to park in front of me. He vigorously ordered me to move back. I made calming hand gestures to him and decided to back my car. However, the bus driver suddenly and aggressively shoved the bus forward, nearly crushing me. If I hadn't reacted decisively, I would have definitely been hit. I was so shocked and angry that I went to get an explanation from this idiot. However, the man completely ignored me and remained nonchalantly seated in his bus. My frustration and anger had reached a boiling point, and out of helplessness, I punched his left window! Apparently so hard that it broke. Naturally shocked by this incident, I drove home. I did report this incident immediately and reported it to the police. I did this, of course, because I assume they also took down my license plate. My question is, what could the possible consequences be? So, only material damage was caused on my part, and I'll ultimately have to pay for that, but I believe the driver acted recklessly and dangerously. You will indeed have to pay for the damages in any case. Furthermore, the driver may have filed a police report because they felt threatened. The police may summon you for questioning to hear what happened. If a report is filed, the police will refer the case to the public prosecutor, who will decide whether to issue a fine or whether you will have to go to court. If you do have to go to court, you will be notified.
