I made a cash payment to a company but now they say I didn't pay. I did have a signature on my invoice but since this was in December I didn't keep the invoice. So I can't prove my payment..what now?

If you claim that you have paid, you must prove this. Evidence can also be provided by means of statements from persons who were present at the payment and can confirm the payment. If there are no witnesses, you have a problem. Moreover, the person who wants payment will have to summon you and incur costs for this. If you claim that you have paid, the judge will allow you to prove this claim, but you must then explicitly state that you can prove this with witnesses. Good luck!
