Advice on car fraud - Legal aid
Questioner
hello, I traded in my car for a 2003 Audi with 139,000 on the odometer. The dealership that sold it didn't have their maintenance records with it due to theft. I found the service record in the car, which showed a mileage of 250,000 in early 2013. I contacted the police and filed a report, but the police weren't following up on it. This dealership was supposedly affiliated with BOVAG, but when I contacted them, they weren't even aware of the dealership! I have all the paperwork to prove it's a scam. Either for the Audi or for my trade-in Golf. The dealer sold the car in question for 80,000 less on the odometer. I purchased the car in November 2013 I have also already informed legal assistance, but they are not doing anything with it because I did not purchase a warranty with it (300 euros extra). regardsLawyer
Dear, Your legal expenses insurance is completely wrong, as your case involves mistake. If you had known the car had the mileage that was later revealed, you probably wouldn't have bought it. A claim of fraud is possible, but difficult to prove. I advise you to contact your legal expenses insurance and explain the problem again, explicitly stating that this case involves mistake. If you want to cancel the purchase, you will have to initiate civil proceedings. Since you indicate you have legal expenses insurance, they can handle this dispute for you. Your legal expenses insurance's argument that you should have included a warranty is invalid! I wish you the best of luck with the next steps and if necessary, you can contact me at any time.Take the next step
