Advice on Inheritance and Legacy | Legal Aid
Questioner
good evening I have a question about inheritances My aunt died first, a year later my uncle by marriage, he only had two children, one of whom was disinherited. I and two others will receive a net legacy, I suspect that one person has already received it and the other, I have not yet shared anything myself, I heard from the notary that two notaries had been appointed to handle the will, but they were no longer working because the notary had transferred everything to the one heir and there was no longer any control over this. My uncle and aunt were already afraid of this. The notary's office must have known this, which I was told during the conversations. Unfortunately, I think they just didn't describe it properly. the heir wanted to transfer the legacy, I then asked for documents proving that I was entitled to it and she changed her mind and now only wants to pay out when the house has been sold, I know that the house is freehold in my name. They also suddenly go on holiday a lot. I also know that she received a bill from the Tax Office on 10/12/2013 to pay inheritance and legacy tax. In my eyes and from what I have heard here and there this cannot/may not happen, that she can only get to the money once everything has been settled, what can I do, what do you advise me?Lawyer
