Can I have multiple rental properties?

Questioner

Can I have multiple rental properties in my name?

Day, social housing, but also rental properties from the private sector almost all have a clause that you must actually live in the rented property. If you rent multiple properties, this is not possible; why this question? Perhaps there is another possible solution.

We are going to live in a senior home. Our daughter who lives across from us really wants to come and live in our house. We have renovated a lot of our house, such as a new bathroom and a kitchen, we also had roller shutters and a veranda installed. In addition, our daughter is bothered a lot by her neighbors, who go to pray at the strangest times and then also play very loud Moroccan music. Especially at 6 in the morning it is very annoying and since there are also a lot of children there who walk in all day with the grandchildren, there is a lot of noise pollution. I therefore wanted to keep the current house in my name and also the other house, because the landlord immediately refused to let our daughter live in our house. While it does not matter whether our house becomes available or a house across the street.

Is your current home a social rental property?

Questioner

Yes, our house belongs to a housing company

Lawyer

Then I expect problems because you no longer meet the conditions stated in the rental agreement and, moreover, your daughter cannot officially register there.

Questioner

Thank you for the quick response, too bad it can't be done that way.
