Nuisance from neighbours? Legal advice on noise pollution
Questioner
The neighbours opposite (100 metres away) have a guesthouse and groups often stay there. It sometimes happens that after 10pm there is still loud music, which I can still hear in my bedroom. To solve this, the neighbours have to be called and after half an hour or an hour it usually stops. Is this allowed? Furthermore, there are music groups staying there - usually in the summer - who play music all weekend, which then bothers me. Is this allowed and what can I do about it? I understand that they are customers of the company, but I think a lot of noise all weekend long is too much to ask.Lawyer
Day, it may be that this noise nuisance is unlawful. What you can do about it file a complaint with the local police officer, or municipality and then object, or send a registered letter that your neighbours' rights are being unlawfully disturbed.Lawyer
