Questioner

My question is how far vegetation may grow above a fence?

Your question is too general to answer properly. The general rules on inheritance divisions can be found here: http://www.juridischloket.nl/questionenresponse/wonen/buren/erfafscheid/Pages/default.aspx For rules that only apply in your neighborhood or district, please refer to the municipality in which you live.

Lawyer

Dear Madam/Sir, If the vegetation is close to the fence and therefore (also) functions as a property boundary, it may not grow higher than 2 metres. If the vegetation is further away (shrubs etc. must be 50 cm from the property boundary and trees at least 2 metres away), it may grow much higher. As long as you as a neighbour do not experience any serious inconvenience, it is permitted to let the vegetation grow metres high.
