Multiple additions of lawyer: what you need to know
Questioner
Dear Sir/Madam, Can you have multiple, simultaneously pending cases handled by your lawyer with an addition, or do you have to pay your own contribution per case? MVGLawyer
A lawyer must apply for a new addition for each case. You must therefore pay a personal contribution for each individual case. An exception to this is a divorce case. A procedure for making provisional provisions falls under the same addition as that of the divorce procedure itself.Lawyer
In addition to the, by the way, correct, answer given by Ms Doreleijers, I would like to point out that if multiple legal aid applications are submitted for you within a period of six months, you only have to pay half of the personal contribution for the second and subsequent legal aid applications, due to the anti-cumulation clause.Take the next step
