Information on WIA benefits and rights
Questioner
Good evening, Unfortunately, at the beginning of September I have already been on sick leave for 2 years. The WIA process has now started. In those 2 years my salary went down from 100% to 70%. My question is, if I receive benefits in the future, will I receive 70% of my 100% salary? Or do I get 70% of the 70% I get now? Thank you in advance for your response.Lawyer
The gross WIA benefit will increase by 0.65 percent. The amount of these benefits depends partly on your last earned salary and the maximum daily wage. The maximum daily wage will increase from 197 euros to 198.28 euros gross. The WIA has two different schemes, namely the IVA (for the fully disabled) and the WGA (for the partially disabled). - The amount of the IVA benefit is approximately 75% of the old salary (as you call it, the 100% salary). - The amount of the WGA benefit depends on the situation. If the benefit is wage-related, it amounts to 75% of the monthly salary after deduction of the income earned from work for the first two months and 70% thereafter. You may still be entitled to a wage supplement benefit in addition to the WGA benefit.Take the next step
