If you have been divorced in court, or your registered partnership has been dissolved, and the judge has ordered child and/or spousal support, your ex-partner cannot simply decide not to pay. You then have the option of calling in the LBIO (www.lbio.nl) and collecting the alimony owed. It is not the intention that your ex-partner simply stops paying, but if you have jointly agreed on an amount without the intervention of the court, then you cannot collect the amount from the LBIO.
