Questioner

We have had a website for many years, managed by RR Data, located in Amstenrade. After many years of difficult progress, sometimes about the content, sometimes about the finances, sometimes about agreements, this relationship eventually came to a standstill. This had to do with a dangerous virus (Trojan) that installed itself while visiting that website, and to which this company paid no attention. After many emails back and forth, one of our members built a website himself and it has been online for some time now. So what is the problem? Well, the domain name is our property and Mr. R. Broekmans (director) does not want to release it. Worse…, we can no longer access all the data and photos and this is quite something. A backup would be sufficient, but RR Data does not want to cooperate and that is why I am turning to you. In any case, in our opinion, this company cannot and should not simply refuse this, in fact such a company should not even want to do this, it seems to me to be very bad advertising. What can we do about this?

I solved a similar case some time ago. In principle, the content of the website is the property of the administrator, but what is happening here sounds unlawful. I am based in Heerlen and can mediate for you and (if necessary) assist you in a summons procedure. Please click on the link to contact me directly.
