Questioner

I rent a house in a city the rent assessment committee has now determined that my rent is far too high. the judge has confirmed this. You are threatening my landlord with eviction because he does not agree with the reduced rent. what should i do?

Lawyer

Your landlord cannot evict you without a court order. And he will not get that order, because you are in the right. Both the rent assessment committee and the judge have apparently determined this. Feel free to contact me without obligation for consultation. And please note: I don't know how threatening the landlord is, but you can report/file a complaint with the police if necessary. You can also replace the cylinders of the locks.

Lawyer

That is not possible just like that. The landlord can only terminate the lease on the grounds specified in the law. The fact that the rent assessment committee has determined a lower rent, which decision has apparently been confirmed by the court, is in any case not a reason to terminate the lease. So you do not have to leave. If the landlord has notified you in writing that he is terminating the lease or that you must vacate the rented property, you would be wise to invoke rent protection and inform him of this in writing and state that you do not intend to vacate the rented property.
