Alimony in case of Remarriage | Rechtswinkel.nl

Hello, I would like to know something about allementation. My ex has the children and I have them every other weekend, so 1 weekend every two weeks, that's what we agreed on. I pay alimony. Now my ex is getting remarried and has a steady partner again. I am divorced/living together. Does this still affect the maintenance I have to pay? And I heard that if the children are with me for 3 weeks during the holidays, I only have to pay one third of the alms in that month, is that correct? Yours sincerely, BLawyer
Child support is calculated based on the needs of the children and the ability of the parents to pay. Changes in the family situation (on both sides) can affect the amount to be paid. However, a maintenance debtor may never unilaterally change the amount of child support. Changes can either be mutually agreed upon by the maintenance debtor and the maintenance creditor and recorded in writing or, if that does not work, determined by the judge. So your statement is incorrect.Take the next step
