How can I prove that I have been hacked? I have had a PayPal account for a while now. My parents have had a credit card for a while now. Now something strange happened last month, through my paypal they added their credit card and made purchases. but they also sent emails to those companies via my email address. I don't understand how this can happen because no one in my family has made these purchases or sent these emails. How can I now prove to these companies that I have most likely been hacked and that I did not make these purchases myself and therefore would like my money back? Because now it only creates distrust within the family...

Sounds very strange indeed. Maybe you can contact PayPal so they can find out who did what.
