We are a neighborhood association with full legal capacity and organize a neighborhood activity for our members several times a year. During the last activity, despite our warnings to keep our distance, a child walked into a pan of boiling water. Fortunately, everything turned out well for the child, but the result was that we as a board ask ourselves the following: Can the board be held liable if a member sustains an injury during an activity?
