In principle, you cannot prevent the dissolution of your marriage. If you were married in Morocco and the marriage certificate was legalized in the Netherlands, you are now probably married in community of property under Dutch law. The law of the State in which you were married does not apply. Under Dutch matrimonial property law, each partner receives 50% of the 'community'. This is the total of all assets and debts. Your ex-partner can ask the judge in summary proceedings to temporarily allocate the house to her. You can object to this. Now that there are no children, the chance that the house will be allocated to her is not so great. If your ex-partner is unable to provide for her own livelihood, or is unable to provide for her own livelihood in full, the court may also decide that you will have to pay spousal support. For the divorce you need a lawyer. You may be eligible for subsidized legal aid. You can contact one of the lawyers on this website, a legal aid shop or law shop in your area or Het Juridisch Loket (0900 8020) or: http://www.juridischloket.nl/Pages/default.asp
