Liability for accidents in nature
Questioner
Suppose I were to organize a trip with a group of ladies. We go to the forest together and there is a nice course. I propose that we all jump over a tree trunk that is lying there. A lady falls and breaks her leg. To what extent am I liable then??Lawyer
That is not to be said in advance without assessing the facts and circumstances as well as the degree of blameworthiness. Normally, this seems to me to be an unfortunate coincidence that causes one of the ladies to fall and it is not to be said in advance that you are liable for that. There is also a personal responsibility of the ladies. If you would like more information, please feel free to contact me directly.Lawyer
In sports and game situations more can go wrong, in principle a person bears the first responsibility for accidents unless something special is going on.Take the next step
