Housing association liability | Free legal advice

Good morning, My situation is as follows: I rent a house from a housing association. About two weeks ago I noticed that the floor in my bedroom was sinking. The sinking was spreading so quickly that I called the housing association exactly one week ago today to come and take a look. Two days later the supervisor was with me and told me that it was probably because the wooden subfloor and ties were rotten. A contractor will come tomorrow to repair/replace the floor. The problem is that my laminate has to be removed and a new floor has to be laid. In addition, my four-door wardrobe has become so rickety due to the sinking that I am afraid that it cannot be moved. For the costs of my floor and wardrobe, the housing association refers me to my home contents insurance, but they indicate that the consequential damage is not covered because the rotting of the wooden subfloor is not covered damage due to the cause. Can I hold the housing association liable for this?Lawyer
In my opinion, you can indeed hold the housing association liable for the damage suffered. It is very clear that this damage is the result of a defect in the rented property. Your housing association is responsible for this.Take the next step
