Question about payroll rights at Payroll? Get free advice
Questioner
I have been employed by an organization for a fixed period of time via Payroll since November 2014. My November pay slip states that I fall under the ABU CAO. Since December 2014, my pay slip states the CAO: NBBU. The NBBU applies the hirer's remuneration, which, in my opinion, entitles me to the same salary as comparable employees within the organization. Am I entitled to the positive difference in salary retroactively? And who is responsible for this? Payroll or the organization (hirer)?Lawyer
Both the ABU and the NBBU are both temporary employment CAOs. In most cases, temporary workers and payrollers fall under this CAO. Sometimes it can be the case that there are agreements with a temporary employment agency or Payroll that the temporary worker falls under the COA or salary of the Hirer and then receives equal pay with the other employees.Take the next step
