Legal questions about cohabitation contract and car

My girlfriend and I broke up and had a cohabitation contract. The car is jointly owned but it is in my name as is the insurance. My ex just wants to keep driving the car like this what are my rights I don't want her to drive damage in my name can I just take the car with me until the day she has transferred the insurance to her own name?

You simply have to divide the car. Someone has to become the exclusive owner. The other party is then indemnified. You are liable due to the registration and the insurance. In the event of damage and such, you will then have to recover from your ex. Not a desirable situation.
