Employer vs. Time-for-Time Hours: Your Rights
Questioner
Can an employer determine when you take your Time-for-Time hours? The employer states that they must be taken in a quiet period, but that quiet period never exists. These are hours that have been accrued for work outside normal working hours. The employer also states that it is legally stipulated that a leave overview must be signed twice a year, is that true?Lawyer
It is not legally stipulated that a leave overview must be signed. However, if the employer and employee agree on the number of leave hours, there is nothing against signing it. This also prevents problems in the future. The employee determines the time of vacation. The employer can only refuse this on the grounds of important business interests. He will have to demonstrate this. You have worked for the tvt hours. You should be able to record them. The employer's position is therefore incorrect. If the employer prevents you from taking the TVT hours, he must pay for them (if you want him to)Take the next step
