Legal Advice on Buying Out a Contract

Questioner

I have been working for a company for almost 8 years. And of course I have a permanent position. But now my boss wants to buy out my contract. But what am I entitled to and what should I ask for as a buyout sum.

Lawyer

As of July 1, 2015, the so-called transition compensation applies. That is the minimum you are entitled to. It also depends greatly on whether your wgr has a file against you. Depending on various facts, the compensation may possibly amount to a higher amount. It is wise to seek legal assistance with this. Often the wgr also provides compensation for this or you can negotiate this. If desired, you can contact me directly to discuss this further so that I can also advise you further.
